Tension is a story about a mature woman named Hailey Mary. She lives in a land called Faunus, filled with anthropomorphic animals, objects, plush creatures, and fantastical beings. Their society is just like ours, only with slightly more advanced technology. One day Hailey finds a mystical ruby dice on the ground that gives her superpowers and a magical suit when she rolls it, similar to Tokusatsu heroes. Unfortunately, giant monsters begin to attack her hometown, the coastal city of Donjon. But fear not, her allies, the hedonistic fairy Donna and the Government Agents Phyllis, Alberta, and Josephine are on her side.

Tension is told from the second person, where "you" are the protagonist. It's adapted from the questing format, which means there's text accompanied by frequent images, like a comic but with more words.

There's nsfw content, gore, lewd dialogue, and sex involving several characters. There's also themes of shapeshifting, micro/macro, dealing with trauma, random numbers, transhumanism, self sacrifice, suicide, and reincarnation. The story was originally created over the course of 18 months, starting 9/10/2022, with a 6 month break in between. It was originally hosted on the site Questden.org.
